Jenny & Mark's Wedding Invitations
I got married last year and being a graphic designer felt it was only right to design my own wedding invitations and order of service for the wedding ceremony. I had already choosen a colour palette for the wedding which included navy blue bridesmaids dresses and soft pinks, oranges and reds for the flowers (see photo collage at the bottom of the page) which gave me starting point; I also knew I wanted an element of gold to feature too. I began by designing a typographic motif to communicate the main message and that could run across each element of artwork to provide consistancy (I even had the 'Jenny & Mark' laser cut out of gold acrylic as the wedding cake topper). The motif was applied in different ways along-side floral illustrations on the main invitation, the information sheet and RSVP card. The order of service was an 8pp stapled booklet following the same style as the information sheet.
